New junior research group on the production of the amyloid beta-peptide (Ab) leading to Alzheimer's Disease: Christoph Kaether
Alzheimers Disease is characterised by the deposition of amyloid plaques in the brain. Plaques are composed of A-beta, a 40-42 amino acid long peptide. The new research group is interested in the production and transport of A-beta in neurons.
