New research group on translational control of gene expression: Cornelis Calkhoven
The aetiologies of several human diseases, including cancer, have been linked with error-prone control of translation of certain target genes. With the help of appropriately developed reporter systems, the group of C. Calkhoven investigates key components of the translational control machinery, their impact on human disease, and their inhibition by novel agents with therapeutic potential.
