New research group on genomic stability: Zhao-Qi Wang
The new research group, headed by the internationally renowned expert on mouse genetics, will resume its work on DNA damage response including DNA damage signaling, DNA repair, cell cycle control and operation of apoptosis.
Many specific molecules involved in DNA damage response are thought to play a critical role in suppressing tumorigenesis. Studying the function of molecules responsible for DNA damage response in chromosomal stability, DNA repair, cell cycle controls, and cell death pathways, is fundamental to improving our ability to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer successfully.
