First FLI retreat on 'Genomic instability and Neurodegeneration'

The first retreat of the FLI was successfully held at the Landessportschule Bad Blankenburg. Among the 124 participating FLI scientists, 17 scientists presented highlights and perspectives of their research on the ageing-relevant topics “genomic instability” and “neurodegeneration” in oral presentations.
Invited key note lectures on both topics were held by the distinguished scientists Ian Hickson (The Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford, UK), and Axel Behrens (London Research Institute, Cancer Research, UK).
