The Biocomputing Unit at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Jena / Germany is a group with both research and service tasks. Our research interests are focussed on the following areas:

• high-level quantum-chemical studies on biopolymer building blocks,
• molecular dynamics studies on nucleic acid structures,
• structural bioinformatics,
• computational genomics,
• development of information resources for molecular biology.
